Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Toronto General Hospital. Loving wife of Michael. Cherished mother of Michelle and Sara. Beloved sister of Mary-Ann Georges. Dear daughter in law of Angela and Carmen Nufrio. Irena will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Friday, May 20th from 10:00am-12:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 20th at 1:00pm at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 194 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa. In memory of Irena, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
