WILSON, Edith Theodora Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family on January 29, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Earnest. Loving mother of Norma, Rudolph, Trevor and the late Beryl, Albert and Philbert. She was blessed to see five generations of her family, including scores of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A centenarian, Edith spent her entire life worshipping God and caring for others. She will be forever remembered for her faith and generosity. Mother Wilson, as she was endearingly referred to by friends and brethren was truly a mother to many. She cared for the sick, and provided a loving home for orphans and the homeless. Edith lived a life of sacrifice and will be remembered by her family and friends as a shining example of what true Christian love looks like. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Sunday February 19, 2017 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm A Service to Celebrate Edith’s life will be held on Monday February 20th, (Family Day holiday) 11:00 AM, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2737 Bayview Ave., Toronto (Bayview & Hwy. 401).Visitation at the church will be held from 10:00am until time of the funeral. Interment will take place at Thornton Cemetery Oshawa God be with you.
