Obituary of Jerzy Sierpinski

SIERPINSKI, Jerzy

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on June 16, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.  Beloved husband of Urszula for 38 years.  Loving father of Ula.  Cherished son of Josef and the late Genowefa.  Dear brother of Maria, Marian (Maria) and Richard (Ewa).  Jerzy will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family here and in Poland and friends for his love of life, sense of humor, strength and determination.  Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Tuesday, June 20th from 5:00-9:00pm.  Rosary will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 8:00pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, 411 Olive Street, Oshawa on Wednesday, June 21st at 11:00am.  Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Hospital (with special thanks to Dr. Carol Swallow and Dr. Albiruni Razak).  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
