WHITTINGTON-THOMPSON, Melinda Ruth
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on August 22, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Loving and devoted wife of Errol. Cherished mother of Harmony and Treyson. Beloved daughter of Janis and Michael Whittington. Devoted Daughter in Law of Pauline Cassel. Loving and amazing sister of Desiree (Irwin), Jamelliah, Mallayna (Ryan) and Macaila. Loving aunt of Christopher, Tobijah, Romanti, Maya and Zane. Melinda will forever live in the hearts of her “sister” friends Nerissa, Danielle, Candice, Manetta, Cindy, Barbara, Sheri, Tasha, Sheena, Julie, Allison, Sheri-lynn, Jenille, Talibah, Kay, Kaye and Kallesha and many more and by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends both here and abroad. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5:00-9:00pm. A Celebration of Melinda’s Life will be held at Whitby Christian Assembly, 100 Rossland Road West, Whitby on Friday September 1, 2017, tributes will be from 10:00-11:30am and the Service of Celebration will be from 11:30am-1:00pm. Interment to follow at Groveside Cemetery. In memory of Melinda, donations may be made to CIBC Run for the Cure-Team Melinda.
