Carcich: Giovanni “Ivan”

Peacefully surrounded by his family, on Friday March 9^th, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Marina. Loving father of the late Claude, Jane and Elizabeth. Cherished Nonno of Monica, Jennifer, and John.  Bisnonno of Evan, Maya, and Jackson.  Gianni will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and those that had the pleasure of knowing him. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Monday March 12^th  from 2:00 – 4:00pm & 7:00 – 9:00pm. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 13^th, 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Parish 903 Giffard Street, Whitby. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Gianni, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
