Obituary of Barbara Martin

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara Patricia Martin (nee Rosnik), aged 76, will be remembered as an avid bird watcher, devoted baseball fan, wonderful friend, life-long animal lover, and an incredibly caring mother and grandmother. She had a smile and laugh that lit up a room and warmed the hearts of everyone who met her with her sweet and gentle soul. After a calm, peaceful and accepting battle with cancer, the world said goodbye to Barb on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Her beloved daughter Allison (Brian), adored grandchildren Jordan and Danny, son Paul (Debbie) MacLellan, their children and grandchildren, and sister Bea (Bob) Chapman will be joined by family and friends to celebrate the life and love she shared with those around her. She's predeceased by her parents Steven and Lorraine Rosnik, her sister Sylvia Spiers, her brother Steve Rosnik and her sister and best friend Joyce Fry. Visitation will be on Friday, March 29th from 6- 8 p.m. at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa. A Celebration of the life of Barb will take place in the Chapel on Saturday, March 30th at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations can be made to Epilepsy Durham Region.
