Obituary of Dee Disheau

Dee Disheau passed away peacefully on Saturday August 13, 2022 surrounded by her family. Dee was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Jackson. Loving mother of Allen, predeceased (Holly), David (Anita, predeceased), Tanya (Yasek). Loved step-mother of Janice (Michael) both predeceased, Pamela (Mark, predeceased), Peter (Brigitte). She was very close and will be sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dee was one of nine children and is fondly remembered by nieces and nephews.

She was a schoolteacher and awarded Top Educator of the Year, she shared her love of learning with her family and her students. She had a special way of making everyone she met feel important and her creativity will live on through her books, short stories, and many hand sewn quilts. She loved animals and shared her life with pets for many years. She kept up with current events and was ready for a discussion about any topic.

Celebration of Life will be held on August 20, 2022 at 3pm at DeStefano Funeral and Celebration Centre, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, ON L1J 0C7

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kids Help Line or the Durham Humane society.
