Obituary of Roy DaCosta

Please share a memory of Roy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with profound sadness we acknowledge the passing of Roy DaCosta on the afternoon of July 25, 2022, at the age of 65 in Palm Bay, Florida.

Loving husband of Valrie, Father of Kimberly and Robert, and cherished Grandfather/Papa to Granddaughters Kimberly, Ashley and Zoe. Brother of Dermot, Mose, Mickey and Freddy.

Roy loved country music, hunting and in his later years enjoyed cooking for his family. He always had a camera in his hand and a smile from ear to ear on his face. He was a man of few words but much wisdom. Roy’s personality was magnetic and he always knew how to make people laugh. He had strong values and principles and he was protective when it came to his family.

Roy’s generosity knew no limits. He was gracious with his family and friends and can be remembered for always giving to those he barely knew. He was hardworking and dedicated his life to providing for his family and could be depended on for love and support.

Roy will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

A private cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595 on Sunday, August 21st at 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will commence at 3:30pm with a reception to follow.
