Ada Rosaria Colombo

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother Ada Rosaria Colombo, who peacefully passed away on Friday, October 14th, 2022 at BayRidges Nursing Home at the age of 85.   

Ada was predeceased by her loving husband Gioacchino and much-loved mother of Carmelucia (Deceased), Tony (Dana), Lorella (Winston -Deceased), Marcello (Christina) and Carmela.   

Cherished Nonna of eight grandchildren: Kristy (Ashton), Ashley, Jeffrey, Jessica, Chelsea (Michael), Justin, Joey (Katie) and Caleb; three step-grandchildren: Camille, Marie (Ian), Sean (Michelle); and thirteen great grandchildren: Mya, Lorelai, Noah, Rosaria, Aria (Deceased), Austin (Deceased), Adeline, Carmelo, Easton, Avery, Emilia, Senna and Everly.    

Dearly loved sister to Pina (Deceased), (Vince), Maria, Anna (Sarino) and Salvatore (Emy-Lou) and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595  on Tuesday October 25th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday October 26th at 11:00am.  Entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Whitby.   If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

When I come to the end of the road 

and the sun has set for me,

I want no rites in a gloom filled room

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not for long,

A step on the road to home.
