Obituary of Luis Enrique Ramos Rodriguez

 

It is with great sadness that we announce that Luis Enrique Ramos Rodriguez, age 59, passed away on March 14, 2023 in Whitby, Ontario.

 

Born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, he was the son of Ligia Ramos and the late Jesus Ramos. He was a Lieutenant in the Air Force and worked many years in the Laboratory Services. He immigrated to Canada in 2019 with his wife Belkis Pastran. Luis spent the last years of his life learning a new language, spending time with his wife, helping his daughters in any way he could and being the best grandpa, anyone could ask for.

 

It was a joy to have him as a son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. His family always relied on him for advice and support, and they always looked forward to listening his dad jokes and laughing with him.

 

He is survived by his wife Belkis; daughters Elvia, Victoria and Ines; his grandchildren Lara, Amelia and Marcel; his sons in law Gustavo and Andrew; his mother Ligia Ramos; and siblings Fanny, Dilcia, Nelly, Jesus, Marlene, Maritza, Alberto, Yosbi and Jose. His family and friends will truly miss him.

 

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday March 22^nd at 3:00 pm in DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Es con gran tristeza que anunciamos que Luis Enrique Ramos Rodríguez, de 59 años, falleció el 14 de marzo de 2023 en Whitby, Ontario.

 

Nacido en Barquisimeto, Venezuela, era hijo de Ligia Ramos y del fallecido Jesús Ramos. Fue teniente de la Fuerza Aérea y trabajó muchos años en los Servicios de Laboratorio. Emigró a Canadá en 2019 con su esposa Belkis Pastran. Luis pasó los últimos años de su vida aprendiendo un nuevo idioma, pasando tiempo con su esposa, ayudando a sus hijas de cualquier manera que pudiera y siendo el mejor abuelo que cualquiera pudiera pedir.

 

Fue una alegría tenerlo como hijo, hermano, tío, esposo, padre y abuelo. Su familia siempre confió en él para obtener consejo y apoyo, y siempre esperaban escuchar los chistes de su padre y reírse con él.

 

Le sobreviven su esposa Belkis; sus hijas Elvia, Victoria e Inés; sus nietos Lara, Amelia y Marcel; sus yernos Gustavo y Andrew; su madre Ligia Ramos; y hermanos Fanny, Dilcia, Nelly, Jesús, Marlene, Maritza, Alberto, Yosbi y José. Su familia y amigos realmente lo extrañarán.

 

El servicio conmemorativo se llevará a cabo el miércoles 22 de marzo a las 3:00 pm en DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa.
