Obituary of Donald White

Donald Eugene White Peacefully, with his family at his side, on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at age 84. Don of Oshawa, formerly of Glen Alda, will be missed by Georgia Gould, the mother of his children. Loving father of Joan White, Carron (deceased) (Keith Hooley), Dorothy (Leonard Foster), Bruce, Laurie (Mitch Pon), Larry, and Arlene (Dave Drury). Cherished grandfather of 19 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Carol (Curt Vanstone), and predeceased by siblings Ruby, Guy, Jack, Ruth, Bob, Drucilla, and by his parents Morgan and Mary White. Long-time friend of Hazel Savoy and family. The family of Don White will receive friends at the DeStefano Funeral Home (1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa, 905-440-3595) on Tuesday April 2nd from 12-1 p.m. A service to celebrate Don's life will take place in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Spring Interment McGillivray Cemetery, Bancroft. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association, The Salvation Army Oshawa Temple, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
