KELLY, Margaret(nee Mester) On Thursday, September 25, 2014, after courageously battling gallbladder and liver cancer, Margaret Kelly succumbed to her illness one week after her 88th birthday. She was surrounded by her family during the course of her illness. Margaret, loving wife to the late Judge Joseph Patrick Kelly, beloved mother of John(Lynore), Tom(Helen), Dan(Leslie) and Mary(Pietro). Loving grandmother of Alex, Aidan, Emma, Benjamin, Sophie, Spencer, Charlotte, Joseph, Matthew and Michael. Dear sister to Helen, Betty, and the late Barbara and Les. She grew up in Welland and London, ON. In her youth, she was a member of the Catholic League, the Catholic Women’s League as well a sharp businesswoman. She was a talented artist, an avid bridge player and gardener. She adored her family and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road)905-440-3595 on Sunday, September 28th from 2-4 &7-9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby(905-668-3676) on Monday, September 29th at 10:30am. Memorial donations to ShareLife or the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated. Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
