Obituary of Thomas Kay

(GM Retiree 30 years’ service Tool & Die Maker and Avid Farmer)

Peacefully passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at age 83, Tom of the Crooked Creek area of Newtonville, is the beloved husband of Betty (nee Johnson) of 52 years. Loving father of Cindy, Debbie, Tom (Raylene), Alan (Teresa), Joe (Sherralee), and Tim (Rhonda). Loved grampa of Mark, Robert, Timothy, Laura, Nicholas, Victoria, Riley, and great grampa of Finnigan, Olivier, and Winry. Dear brother of the late Elsie, Anne, Ruth, Sunny and Russell and brother-in-law of Jean (Kevin Diamond)and the late Jerry. Tom will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road) 905-440-3595, on Monday, June 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel, on Tuesday, June 23rd at 11am. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Ontario March of Dimes.
