Obituary of Robert Cameron Edwards

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, Robert Cameron Edwards (Bob), of Toronto, ON who died suddenly of heart failure on Saturday, February 10, 2018.  He was 71. He was born on December 16, 1946 in Toronto, ON. He attended Monarch Park Collegiate Institute. Predeceased by his parents William & Christina (nee Bain) and brother Jim. Survived by his wife Donna (separated), devoted children Karissa (Stephen) Jones and Cameron (Melanie) Edwards. Beloved Grandfather of Anson, Addison, Evelyn and Liliana. Son- in-law to Georgina Prestidge, brother-in-law to Gail Prestidge and Sharon Gillott.  Bob worked as a Sales Representative for over 20 years, most of them at Royal Le Page Connect in Scarborough.  Bob was a passionately caring and fun-loving individual with a quick wit and a fantastic sense of humour. An avid outdoorsman, Bob enjoyed childhood summers at Junior Forest Rangers camp and an entire lifetime of memories on Lake Dalrymple.  A devoted father, doting Grandpa and fierce friend. 

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Friday, February 16^th from 2:00-4:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm.   A Service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel on Saturday, February 17^th at 11:00am.  In keeping with Bob’s fun-loving nature, we are asking that a splash of colour be worn.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Leatherdale and Other Deceased Members Bursary Fund.  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
