Dear Cherlyn, Madeleine and Meaghan, cherished son of Brian and Margaret. Dear brother of Andrew and stepbrother of Denise, Kevin, and the late Glen.
I am sorry I was not there to say goodbye to you Nick. He told me of his battle with cancer and told me he had not shared with anyone else in the Regimental family of his battle with 4th stage prostate cancer.
There isn’t a time that goes by that I do not shed a tear when I reflect on the many memories of the times we shared together. You were never judgmental about anyone and were always willing to share your wisdom, knowledge, and humor with all who sought it out.
Forever those memories will never fade, and when my day comes to pass, I pray that you will be there to greet me my friend.
“Nic Aspera Terrent, Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense, Ich Dien, Ready Aye Ready”
Cherlyn, Madeleine, and Meaghan, I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am to hear of Nick’s passing.
I don’t know any other person that has given their service, actions and knowledge as much to others as Nick did.
A true hero, great, loyal and devoted husband and father and an outstanding friend and neighbour.
Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone that was touched by such an amazing person.
