Obituary of Benjamin James Dearn

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle on June 9, 2019.  Loving husband and best friend of Karen. Cherished and devoted father of Austin and Dylan. Dear son of the late Celia and James. Loving brother of Marcus (Charles).  Beloved son-in-law of Susan and Bob Woodward.  Brother-in-law of Mike (Katie) and uncle of Jocelyn, Melanie and Claire. 

Ben was an avid sports fan-he loved his Cleveland Browns and was an active sports dad, he always enjoyed watching and being involved in Austin and Dylan’s hockey and baseball teams.  He was a devoted family man and loved spending time with friends-the family he chose. 

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport)905-440-3595 on Wednesday, June 12^th from 1:00-3:30pm.  A Service to Celebrate Ben’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel on Wednesday at 3:30pm. 

As a tribute to Ben, the family has asked that the children come wearing their sports jersey.  In memory of Ben, donations may be made In Trust for Austin and Dylan for an RESP (cheque made payable to Karen Dearn).  Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
