Mackenzie Geofroy

Obituary of Mackenzie Geofroy

Please share a memory of Mackenzie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

“Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”, Matthew 11:28

Mackenzie Marie Geofroy, our beautiful and beloved baby girl, was called back to her Heavenly Father on March 06, 2021.

Born in Ajax, Ontario, Canada on January 31, 2001, to Richard Andrew and Cheryl, Mackenzie was the second of three siblings, between her brothers Nicholas and Anthony. She was “Kenzie” to her family, “Mack” to her friends and “Princess” to her Papa.

Mackenzie was a true blessing to her parents, brothers, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Her big brother Nicholas was her first friend and she was guardian and protector to her little brother Anthony. Mackenzie’s love for her younger cousins, Hannah, Aliyah & Arianah, and her desire to share her love with her extended family brought great joy and will always be cherished and remembered.

From very young, Mackenzie was a caring and nurturing soul. She loved her dollies and would spend hours pushing them around the house in their stroller. Kenzie, with her rosy-red, chubby cheeks was always peppering those around her with kisses, upon kisses. Joyful giggling and a smile that would light up the world, would burst forth in playtime, but most especially during “pony-rides” on Grampa’s back.

Mackenzie was as brave and daring as she was nurturing and loving. Where her brothers would cautiously test the water, Kenzie would jump right in. She showed no fear when riding a bike for the first time and would peddle as though there was no tomorrow. She was the first to waterski and always the first to embark on new adventures.

Kenzie grew to enjoy many different sports but her passion was volleyball. When the pandemic ended organised sports, Mackenzie and Anthony together created “Basement-Ball” which united the family in a friendly, but very competitive “after dinner” staple. Her love for games was not only limited to sport. Kenzie would always be the first one to suggest a game of cards and usually the last one to want to quit.

As a young adult, Mackenzie was an honor roll student studying Criminology at Laurier University with the intent to help troubled youth. In her short time there, she touched the hearts of many, but most of all her boyfriend, Sar.

Mackenzie is survived by her parents Richard Andrew and Cheryl Geofroy; her brothers Nicholas and Anthony; Carole “Grandma” Geofroy; Marg “Granny” Lee; and her Aunts & Uncles Len and Claire Geofroy, Caroline and Mark Bodnar, and Joanne Lee.

Mackenzie loved, and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.

Kenzie,

“I’ll Love you forever,

I’ll like you for always,

As long as I’m living, my baby you will be”
