Rest in Peace, Jules.
I will always remember you as my brother’s inseparable best friend... each of you dressed to the 9’s in white 3-pc suits (...it was the 70’s, and that was the ULTIMATE of cool at the time.)
I would like to share one of my fav Jim&Jules memories for Sandy & Shirley...
The time was the 1970’s, and Rod Stewart was all the rage. One wkend, Jimmy called me to ask me to bbsit Laur (a wee baby at the time). I was Laur’s bbsitter, so that request was quite common. However, Jimmy asked if I could plan to stay the night and sleep over bbsit. Hmm...interesting! Plus I was sworn to secrecy. Lol
SO... the wkend came and Jules and Sandy got dressed to the 9’s (...white 3-pc suit... oh yeah!!) and went with Jimmy & Shirl to T.O... ostensibly to go out to dinner.
Well, Jules & Jimmy were ALWAYS up to shenanigans, and that night was no exception.
They all went for dinner close to the Rod Stewart concert venue, so after dinner the foursome was walking past the event. Jules & Jimmy feigned curiosity and ignorance of the concert...’hey, I wonder what’s going on here??, and similar comments.
THEN, Jules & Jimmy say - Hey let’s go in!! Shirley & Sandy protested since they clearly didnt have tix. Lol
However, undaunted, Jules & Jimmy proceeded to walk boldly through the crowds and up to the front of the line,.. dragging their wives by the hands! (I should mention that Sandy & Shirley were feeling MORTIFIED since they were certain that at any moment, security was going to unceremoniously throw them out & into a Paddy wagon!!
But then, once at the front of the line and their wives sufficiently embarrassed, Jules & Jimmy pulled out the SURPRISE tix that they had bought!!
Not only to surprise their wives with their fav performer, but to also have front and centre tix!!!
To me, that was a classic Jules & Jimmy story - two besties, living their best lives, and always bringing fun and adventure.
Our loved ones live on forever in our memories and in our hearts.

This makes me shed tears. Julius was an extraordinary character with seemingly boundless energy and larger-than-life personality. He never failed to make me smile. I will miss seeing him in Romania. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and I hope that in a small way they help through these trying times. My deepest condolences to Julius' family. My deepest condolences to the entire Kedvessy family, especially Dianna, her partners and children. It is difficult to lose a loved one but even more difficult when they are larger than life. May the good memories provide the comfort you need to get through the next little while.
