Obituary of Dennis Parkhurst

Died peacefully on January 4, 2022, from complications of ALS at the age of 66.

Beloved husband of the late Gail Parkhurst, father to Dallas (Helen), Ryan (Jennifer) and stepdaughter Jacci (Scott) Bowie. Grandfather to Charlotte and Richard Bowie. Brother to Ken, Linda (Ray) and David (Vivian) and the late Deborah Vella. Son of the late Robert James and late Eunice Irene Parkhurst. Will also be missed by nieces and nephews.

Dennis enjoyed hunting, was an avid sports enthusiast and a Beatles fanatic. Dennis and Gail also loved to travel. He was also known affectionately by some as Mr. Sluggo and Bird.

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa (905) 440 3595 is Saturday January 8, 2022, from 1:00pm-3:00pm. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the ALS Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Interment will take place at the Carlow United Church Cemetery in Boulter Ontario on Monday May 9th, at 11:00am
