Obituary of Duane Pitchforth

Pitchforth Duane

January 3, 1965 – February 14, 2022

Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on Monday, February 14^th 2022 at the young age of 57. Beloved husband of Lisa. Loving father of Dylan (Ashley), and Ben (Christine). Cherished son of Bill (the late Wanda). Forever missed by his brother Lee (Tracy) and loved uncle to Lindsey and Tara. Stepfather to Tyler (Rachael) and Grayson. Duane will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, colleagues, and all that knew him.

Duane was so much to so many people. A loving husband, proud father, older brother, and a special friend. His smile was infectious and his kindness and commitment to his family and the community was unwavering. He was always willing to lend a hand, offer support or just give a hug.

Duane was a natural outdoorsman with a love for camping, fishing, hunting, spending time at the cottage where being outside, keeping active and enjoying nature filled his soul and passion.  He consistently found time to enjoy sports; hockey, lacrosse, cycling, running and of course golfing. You could always find him laughing, playing his guitar, and listening to music but always having fun.

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa Ontario 905 440 3595 on Friday, February 25, 2022, from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm. Funeral service and ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2pm.
