Obituary of Desneiges Aubin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Desneiges Aubin on Wednesday, June 28^th 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 81.  Beloved mother of Christine (Terry), Lucille (Neil), and Darren (Isabel).  Adored Grandmaman to Ashley (Brent), Erica (Tim), John (Liz), Sarah (Kevin), Felix, Graham, and Mary-Jane. Cherished Great Grandmaman to Makayla, Caiden, Brianna, Emma, Callan, and Lilah. 

Desneiges was the loving sister of Veronica (Alec), Marguerite (Jules), Robert (Aline), and Doris (Richard).    She is predeceased by her siblings Ramona, Doreen, Rene, Ronald, Jeannine, Florette, and Romeo. Best friend of Denis and Hedore.  

Desneiges hailed from a large family and throughout her life she made a point to keep in touch with family members.  She also thoroughly enjoyed having one-on-one time with each of her grandchildren, and she ensured that family birthdays and events were always celebrated.  As a retired teacher in Durham Region, Desneiges had a significant impact on the lives of many of her students. She also built very strong relationships with her colleagues, many of whom became her travel companions after her retirement.  One of Desneiges passions in life was Swedish weaving, and she truly enjoyed her weekly sessions with her “girls”.  She will be lovingly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, colleagues and students.

Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa on Wednesday July 5^th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.  A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday July 6^th at 1:00pm.   A private family Interment will be held at a later date.
