Obituary of Gloria Stewart

Gloria Elizabeth Stewart (known as Rose to her family) passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020 at the Oshawa Hospital at the age of 80.

Gloria will be deeply missed by her daughter Alison, son Ian, daughter-in-law Gloria and her grandchildren Brianna and Ava.  She will be missed by her nephew (Balford); nieces (Elaine, Andrea, Jacqueline and Joan); great-nieces (Jacy, Caroline, Melissa and Brittany); great-nephews (Brandon and Jason); great-grand nephews (Ezekiel, Isaiah); great-grand nieces (JahNia, Makeda), family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Gloria's siblings - John, Richard, Dorothy, Alma and Veronica - predeceased her.

Gloria was retired after 35 years of service to the Corrections Canada branch of the Federal Government in Ottawa, where she lived for 40 years before moving to Whitby.  She will be missed by her friends and colleagues in Ottawa. 

In 2013, Gloria relocated to Whitby where she attended Whitby Christian Assembly and made many friends.

She found pleasure in gathering with friends and family,  singing, spending time in her garden and fellowship with her friends at church.

A private funeral will be held on Monday,  December 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at DeStefano Funeral Home.
