Peacefully after a lengthy struggle on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 90. Sylwester of Whitby, beloved husband of the late Wladyslawa. Loving father of Danuta(Boleslaw)Kijowski of Poland, Irena(Bernie)Golebiowski and Zbigniew(Bogumila)Rabanowski of Toronto. Loved Dziadzia of Beata(Tomek), Joanna(Colin), Anna(Brad), Iwona(Tomek), Paul and Monica. Pradziadzia of Patryk(Agata), Taylor, Ashley, Lukas and Abigail. Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa(south side of Taunton Road east of Thornton Road)905-440-3595 on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2:00-3:00pm. A funeral service will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 3:00pm. Sylwester will return home to Poland to join his beloved Wladyslawa. Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca
